Blue Scrumpy left this review about Fosters Arms

One of two pubs nextdoor to one another, the Fosters Arms is located in Bridgnorth's low town and for Mrs Scrumpy & I, it brought back memories of our wedding reception, which was held in the Parlors Hall Hotel on the opposite side of the road just over 19 years ago.

The pub looked vaguely familiar to me. So, it's possible I've visited here before many years back. There is a popular public bar at the front of the pub with photos and memorabilia for Wolverhampton Wanderers on the walls. There was a quieter and more comfortable room further back on the other side of the bar, whilst a passageway runs down the right-hand side of the pub. This provides further drinking space and leads to a pool room outdoor drinking areas.

4 real ales were on. Regular beers are Banks's Amber Ale, Hobson's Town Crier & Wye Valley HPA. The guest beer was Eagle IPA. A friendly barmaid pushes my score to just above average.

The Fosters Arms is a decent looking pub that is one of quite a few located in a small area of Bridgenorth's Low Town.
Once inside there is a small oblong shaped room to the front with the bar facing, the floor is carpeted to the left and bare boarded to the right, there is bench seating and small stools, the separate lounge to the rear is smarter and carpeted, there is bench seating and chairs in this room.
There is a larger corridor type room to the rear which had a pool table in it.
There were five real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Rowton Bitter, which was a nice drink, the other real ales were Hobsons Town Crier,Banks's Bitter,Banks's Mild and Banks's Sunbeam.
There were cobs on the bar, which i like to see.
There was a TV to the to the right showing snooker.
I like pubs like this.

Old Boots left this review about Fosters Arms

A classic town centre boozer, at the front a small public traditionally furnished complete with suspicious locals. Through to back is a larger lounge with tables and chairs, settles and stools. There’s two hand pumps in each each bar with a choice of Banks’s Sunbeam or Hobsons in each, quality is good to fine if slightly cold. Usual kegs from the Marstons/Banks’s range also on tap. Located in the more down market Low Town it still retains some nice bits of 1930s Brewer’s Tudor panelling in places. There’s a covered yard at the back where you will find the toilets, a pool table and some bandits.
