An impressive Cotswold stone building, this is basically now a restaurant despite it being purchased by Everards a few years ago though you can still drink in the small right hand room. The interior of this room is spartan and whitewashed, with herringbone flooring and black soft furnishings. Despite being in a posh area the music choice was massively inappropriate. Three ales on and a fairly interesting selection -Everards Sunchaser, Pheasantry and GK OSH. However it’s all downhill from here – the Sunchaser had sea monsters in it (how long since that line was cleaned?) and the Pheasantry clearly was past its best. With prices for pints running at four quid this is an appalling state of affairs. Everards should hang their head in shame that their name is attached to this joke.
