Komakino . left this review about The Royal Oak

Another charming country pub betwixt Witney and Chippo, busy with drinkers and diners on a lazy Sunday afternoon and juggling that fine line between sating both camps superbly. Situated on a triangle in the middle of the village opposite a war memorial, this is another stone construct and there's plenty of the stuff exposed within, but a thick-carpeted floor gives a more homely feel as does the settled divide to the right, given to diners, with a further room out towards the back. The left houses a smattering more tables with the small bar up top and a handful of locals enjoying a quiet Sunday pint. Ales were Wye Valley Hopfather, HPA and Malmesbury Flying Monk. My half of the Hopfather was served in a stemmed glass at £1.80 for a half, which is again reasonable 'round these parts, and was in good nick. By no means the quintessential English pub, and there's probably a little too much money around here to want to make it your local, but it's definitely one of the better country pubs in Oxfordshire, even despite the A-board outside proclaiming the buttock-clenching attraction of "Prosecco and Poppers: £20"...
