Alan Winfield left this review about The Colliery Inn

The Colliery Inn is a fairly basic pub, once inside there was a room either side of the entrance these had normal tables and chairs the main bar was further on this room had a pool table in it and more normal tables and chairs all of these rooms were slightly opened out to each other.
There were no real ales on the bar and the only bitter option was John Smiths smooth crap which lived up to its name.
The pub was empty on my late Saturday afternoon visit which did'nt surprise me after my time in here.
