There is now an even clearer distinction between the left hand room, now mostly for food and families, and smelling mostly of cooking fat and vinegar (the food, presumably, rather than the families) and the right, which is now designated as Duck n Dive, the brewery tap for Dukeries Brewery. This would have been the public bar to the dining room's lounge, and it still retains that character. There are five ales and a cider on the six hand pumps in this fairly small room, with two of them duplicated in the other bar. All but one of the beers at the time of my visit were from Dukeries: Baronet, Ray of Sunshine, Gunsmoke and Mining Stout. The stranger in their midst was Pheasantry Pale and the cider was Happy Daze. Some Belgian and German beers were also available in bottles. My half of stout was only £1.25, which encourages me to return another time for a more in-depth exploration of the Dukeries portfolio.
The above review was from 13th January 2014. A more recent visit found this to be no longer the Dukeries Tap, though it is still styled as Duck n Dive and a couple of Dukeries beers are still sold. On our latest visit, there was just their Ray of Sunshine, and Marstons EPA. "Coming next" were Wychwood Hobgoblin and Jennings Cumberland Ale. I was so disappointed with the beer offering, I ended up having a cider...
There's still an impressive collection of pump clips on the beams, but the actual beers on offer...less impressive.

The outlet for the recently set up Dukeries Brewery as the big banner outside tells us, two of their beers were on, Baronet (a fairly traditional bitter), and Blonde, Sharps Doombar was on as a guest. All the beers were in fine fettle. Internally the left hand side is more a dining area while the right side is more pubby in feel but the décor throughout isn't particularly traditional pub in style. Not far from the railway station it is near a group of three GBG pubs and should be included with them as part of a Worksop crawl.

The Anchor Inn is situated just off the town centre on eastgate.
This pub has got two seperate rooms,i went in the room to the left which turned out to be the lounge this was a fairly long and narrow room with the bar on the right, the room was carpted and had red leather bench seating there was a dining area to the rear which was down a step but there were a few people having meals nearer the front where i sat.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Springhead Bees Knees and this was quite a nice drink the other beer was Abbeydale Deception.
This is a decent enough pub but i would have been happier having a drink in the other room.
