I gave up trying to log in to the forum to register a name change here. But this pub is now called King's Mill Farm.
It is another large chain pub with a carvery and other mass-produced food on the A38. It belongs to the Farmhouse Inns chain, which appears to be yet another subsidiary of Greene King. As such, the ale choice was limited to IPA & Abbot.
Families are welcome. Service from young kids behind the bar was predictably poor, especially with several customers ranting at them about the quality of the drinks/food. The gents toilets had an overwhelming smell of some kind of chemical, which wasn't particularly pleasant.
