Alex Conway left this review about Pheasant Inn

Located just off Radford Boulevard the Pheasant is one of the few remaining pubs in this area of Nottingham. The pub is one long rectangle shaped pub that would have been two square shaped rooms and the bar originally but now has been knocked through to make one long open plan pub. This is a very long standing pub and has quite a nice low beamed ceiling which makes it quite cosy although is fairly dated and a bit rough round the edges. This pub was busier than the Colonel Burnaby up the road as it is a bit more centrally located than the other pub but not busy by any means. The bar had four big shiny hand pulls but sadly and unexpectedly no clips and none available which I believe has been the case for a very long time. Other than that there was one of the most limited drinks selections I have seen in a pub, Fosters, Stella, John Smiths and Theakstons mild and Strongbow. The mild set me back £2.75 and was very average. I can’t slam this place too much as it is still standing and a bad pub is still a hundred times better than no pub at all and if this goes there won’t be any to replace it which is why we need to use them or lose them. I wish this place well and hope in the future they can build it up and attract some of the students that are moving into the area and reintroduce some real ale and make it a success.

Alan Winfield left this review about Pheasant Inn

The Pheasant Inn is in the back streets of radford but it looks more like a country pub than a inner city pub.
Once inside there used to be a couple of room that i noticed and these were quite smart and comfortable, the pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and there were two real ales on the bar both Shipstones bitter and mild were very nice drinks here.
I think this pub is still open but i dont know what beers are now on here.
