Alex Conway left this review about The Blue Bell

The blue bell is these days more of a late night students disco/fun pub with loud music and cheap drinks deals, to go for a pint in here is not really the done thing.
the beer selection is very poor and full of keg lines that are not kept in good shape at all. after a certain time of night they also will only serve beer in plastic cups, this shows what type of establishment it is.

They do have two real ale pumps on the bar but the type of clientele who visit here are not really the real ale crowd and thus it is very rare to ever see one of the pumps in use. On my most recent visit back in December one was in use dispensing Castle Rock Harvest pale for just £2 per pint but this was sadly in woeful condition as you might expect.

a very dire place that really only caters for the party crowd, best avoided under most circumstances.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Blue Bell

The Blue Bell used to be an Home Ales tied house.
This pub has been done up quite a few times over the years,it is now quite smart with lots of different drinking areas on different levels. The main bar area is at the front and there are a couple of real ales on the bar with Greene King IPA and Mansfield bitter these beers change.
Not a bad pub for a quick drink but not one to stay in.
