Alan Winfield left this review about The Newark Arms
The Newark Arms was a pretty austere looking pub that was situated close to the corner of Appleton Gate and Queens road.
Once inside the pub had two separate room with a decent sized bar and a lounge,i had a drink in the bar, which had bench seating.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house, there were no real ales on here,so it was a drink of fizzy John Smiths bitter.
This is one of the few pubs in Newark i only did once.
