Real Ale Ray left this review about Hermitage Inn

This was a firm favourite when staying in Warkworth. The pub consisted of the bar immediately in front of you once through the door, which hosted four hand pumps dispensing Jennings ales. The pub was always busy on each visit, with diners and drinkers. The customers here were friendly and chatty, so it was good to sit at the bar and engage in conversation. The weather was warm, so we also sat out front on the bench seating. The interior of the bar consisted of black oak beams and various bric-a-brac around the walls. Service was excellent, so to was the Jennings Cocker Hoop.
