Ken Giles left this review about The New Inn

Since the loss of Chris and Rhona Taylor, the pub has become just a "boozer" with many locals choosing to drink elsewhere. The quality of the cask ales is a hit and miss affair. Many meals, especially Sunday Roast is like school dinners, best just to eat the fried food available as rest of menu is pre-cooked and reheated. The landlord tries hard but lacks ability and does insist on keeping his smelly dog in the lounge bar among punters. The toilets are a disgrace and smell which proves they're not cleaned. The once beautiful garden is now often left unmown with furniture that has seen much better days. Even the staff moan about the place which says it all really.
