The Auctioneers is a smart looking pub that faces the market place.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room with the bar on the right side, the front area is bare boarded and the seating here is normal tables and chairs, there is a pool table to the front left, the rear area is down two steps, this area is carpeted and has bench seating and normal tables and chairs.
The pub is a Marstons house, there was one real ale which was Pedigree, this was a decent enough drink.
The irish background music was crap.
Ok for a quick drink.

A bit scruffy on the outside especially from Drapery, it's a decent looking pub on the inside. The clientele need a bit of a refubishment though. Several large screens showing cricket on my Thursday, late afternon visit. 4 handpumps on the bar, but only 2 on serving Pedigree & Hobgoblin. My Pedigree was served very cold, which was just as well as when it warmed up it was only just drinkable. It's aimed at a younger crowd at weekends and they're welcome to it in my view.
