An odd old sort of Sams pub, the main bar is to the left as you enter and there's a lounge with a pool table to the back if you go straight ahead. There's another room to the right at the front. No cask ales just Old Brewery Bitter and the basic range of kegs. Fairly plain for a Sams house, a nice old fireplace but to be honest not the most scintillating of pubs.

Another Sams Smiths pub bang opposite the John Smiths factory. There are two rooms, a Front bar and around the back and down a few steps a larger pool room with seating and a back bar. There was cask OBB in this pub but the lanlord informed me "aint got none" so it was a pint of soverign for £1.82 thats not as nice as OBB in my opinion. The pub was decorated in the usual simple Sams manner but was not of comfy or cosey as others on the town. Again it was perfectly fine to sit and enjoy a few drinks.

The Fox and Hounds is a stone built pub that is on the edge of the town centre.
This is a three roomed Samuel Smiths tied house i went in the room at the front which is the lounge this was a decent room to have a drink in i had a drink of the one real ale on which was Old Brewery bitter and this was a decent drink.
