The Clyde as it is now called is a really nice looking stone built pub that is set in the back streets of Redland.
Once inside the bar faces in an opened out room which is carpeted, there is bench seating to the front and a pool table to the front left, the bar is in the middle area, there is another pool table and a darts board to the rear right,a large screen was showing the Scotland v ireland rugby game/
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bath Ales Jem,which went down well, the other real ales were Exmoor Rugby Gold and Butcombe Bitter.
The pub was quite busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
I quite liked this pub.

Blackthorn _ left this review about The Clyde Arms

A traditional, street corner boozer in the heart of Redland. It’s a good sized open plan affair, with the pub wrapping almost entirely around the central bar counter. Presumably it must have been separate rooms at one time, but somebody in their wisdom has decided to open it all out. In fact I thought it was separate rooms last time I was in here, but that was many years ago so I may be mistaken.

Decor is quite traditional, other than the dark green paint on the ceiling, consisting of green patterned carpet with a few tiles around the bar, red drape curtains and some wood panelling. There were several shelves of books and quite a bit of stained glass, which was an unusual, and interesting, feature.

There was a pool table at each end of the pub, a darts board, a sign advertising a pool tournament each Thursday as well as a projector screen, although this was folded up out of sight. It was very busy with a good mix of ages on a recent visit.

Beers on tap were Butcombe and Wickwar’s BOB. Ciders were Blackthorn, Stowford Press and Thatcher’s Traditional. A number of punters were also drinking cans of Natch.
