Old Boots left this review about The Bay Horse Inn

Old fashioned two roomed pub, a public at the back and a more loungey bit at the front. They're both quite pleasantly traditional. One pump in the back bar serving a decent Cameron’s Strongarm, three more in the front bar, with Bradfield, Tetleys, and Greene King Abbott. Very popular and with a nice pubby atmosphere, mild brewers Tudor decor, with a picture of warts and all Oliver Cromwell in the lounge. The rear bar has a raised area at the back.

We sat in the "Beer Garden" which was actually the car park, and enjoyed a pint of Speckled Hen and Tetley's Bitter, listening to the Steam Train arriving and the Engine running around its train. Quite pleasant and very enjoyable.

A nice white rendered terraced Georgian styled building, with some black beams.
The interior has two rooms, the lounge was empty so I can’t say much about that. The bar had plain walls with black beams and a lot of old pictures and memorabilia and brass ornaments dotted all over the place. The bar was tucked into the corner and there was a large fireplace and central post in the middle of the room. It had a nice enough traditional feel, if perhaps a little twee. The service was fine, but there wasn’t any other clientele when we visited. Beer; usual tap tosh with three handpulls; Tetley Cask, Abbott Ale and Spekky Hen, the last of which was pretty good. I would definitely visit this pub again
