the latest incarnation of this cellar bar has removed most of the sofas and the remaining tiles replacing them with three pool tables, a table football table and stools at high tables - a bit less elegance all round. A sign at the door says "smart casual dress at all times" there's no need to believe that. The bar remains in the same place and the floor stays split-level, the upper level having a couple of sofas in front of a big screen. Two hand pulls are back on the counter with ordinary Theakstons best bitter and one varying beer from Caledonian, it's doubtful if anyone would go here for the beer given that choice but it's there if someone drags you in for a game of pool.

A cellar bar–cafe formerly known as Thomas Crabtree's now tastefully updated, or “designered” to within an inch of its life depending on your taste. The layout remains much as it was with the u shaped bar counter at one end and a raised area with soft furnishing to one side. In the middle is a dining area with tables and chairs and to the other side of it more soft furnishing; all the sofas etc are in cream leather, the wood is light and the floors laminate or smart tiles. The pillars are part tiled in darker slate, and the remaining tongue and groove done out in trendy grey; all very modern and crisp. Service is fairly enthusiastic and the drinks range included a smooth (John Smiths), a cider and umpteen high end UK lagers such as Peroni, Staropramen, etc, it also advertises cocktails.

A cellar bar of one large room with a low ceiling in the main shopping area of Harrogate. There are four T bars with fairly standard kegs and four unused handpumps, some bottles are also available with Hobgoblin and London Pride among them. The flagged and carpeted room is divided by stone pillars and some tongue and groove partions with bench seating, chairs and tables supplemented by drinking shelves. A pool table and a screen take up a raised area at the back of the room. Décor is plain walls with some cladding decorated with a few pictures, posters and photos.
