A quality village boozer which seems to be used by both diners and locals alike, some in tractors. Traditional boozer both inside and out with 2 dining areas which don't seem to infringe on the bar area. The food, although we didn't eat, does looked excellent and only a large and recent breakfast prevented a foray into the roast beef. Owned by Old Mill, beers on were Traditional Bitter, My England and Yorkshire Porter. We tried several of the first two, all of which were in good condition and very palatable.

Now owned by The Old Mill Brewery and always serving three of their range, this is an excellent country pub. There is a large focus on food and the Sunday roasts looked very well cooked. On entering there is a dining area to the left and the bar to the right where the drinkers gather.Beyond the right of the bar are further dining areas with traditional furnishing. No musak, screens, fruit machines leaves a classy feel to the interior.Very well kept ales attract an increasing number of locals once the luchtime foodservice dies down and at the rear is a covered smoking area and a block paved terrace with tables and umbrellas for outside consumption.A short walk from the Aire and Calder canal ,a must visit if in the area.

Traditional village pub owned by Old Mill. Pub has 2 drinking areas plus a room set aside for dinning. 2 Real Ales from Old Mill available at the time of my visit.
A small beer garden is situated to the rear.
Car parking available at the front and side of the pub just a short drive from the M62.

Much changed froim my orevious visit with new management, Old Mill Bitter always available plus 2 others and on this visit they were Porter & Bullion.
Food offering also.
