Old Boots left this review about The Rose Inn

Grey painted corner pub with an L shaped interior one end being divided off into a small snug. The counter is in the main section, home to five pulls, five tall craft keg taps and a hex T-bar of higher end standard kegs. Seating is a choice of high tables and chairs or low sofas and armchairs. There are windows down both sides so not a lot of room for decor, the odd print or advert on the part grey part tongue and groove walls. A few GBG posters and a splendid photo of the pub and regulars in the early 1960s.

Will Larter left this review about The Rose Inn

Just outside the city centre, in the more village-like suburb of Lakenham. There's an enthusiasm for real ale, though at the time of my midweek visit there were just four available among the eight hand pumps. Numerous real ciders are also on offer. There is an informal, friendly atmosphere, though I imagine it could get pretty busy when Norwich City are playing at home. My notes made at the time say that the pub is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, but Camra's WhatPub says Sundays and Mondays.

I am Dawn, the Landlady of The Rose, so of course I am biased BUT just wanted to let you know about the changes going on at the pub. We now stock our own real ale - Norwich Bear Brewing co - and it is exclusive to The Rose & sister pub The Ketts Tavern (& the beers are excellent!). We are in the middle of a refurbishment (the loos are wonderful!) & when it is completed we will have a micro brewery in the middle of the pub! We still have great fun quizzes twice a month & also a wonderful Open Mic Night 2 Sundays a month. We are a short tumble down hill to Carrow Rd and the place is packed with City fans (a friendly away fans!) on match days. For more info please visit our website www.norwichbear.co.uk or like us on Facebook www.facebook/RoseQueensRd or follow us on Twitter @bearbrewing - Cheers!
