Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Paddington Packet Boat

Substantial pub with accommodation. The interior has been opened out to form an elongated 'L'-shaped bar with a split-level raised seating area, a side dining area at one end and a pool table at the other. Rear patio beer garden. Limited menu but at a reasonable price. Three of four handpumps in operation, with Chiswick, Pride and ESB available.

Malden man left this review about Paddington Packet Boat

The main area is a long and narrow room and seems to have either been extended or more likely has incorporated an adjoining building, (see the photos). The bar is on the back wall, down to the right there is a pool table and dartboard, to the left, a slightly raised carpeted area with an exposed brick fireplace and wall shelving units containing books and various random artifacts. Beyond here, winding around to the rear is a stone flagged area, then through the french doors a sunny outdoor patio with large circular wooden tables. There are a couple of framed pieces of glazing, presumably from the pub in an earlier incarnation, showing the glass from the Private Bar and Public Bar doors. Other decor includes B&W pictures of the Cowley area and the Grand Union Canal, and an interesting old map of London Waterways which shows some now gone canal arms. The pub name relates to the erstwhile boat service from the nearby wharf to Paddington basin in Central London. Ceiling beams have drink related quotes stencilled on. A couple of TVs, both switched off on Tuesday afternoon.
The pub is very clean, tidy and well appointed, service was good and friendly. Fullers beers, ESB, Pride, seasonal Front Row and the former Gale's Seafarers on offer. Thai food is served, and looked good althogh I doubt it needed as much additional chilli sauce as the bloke sat opposite me added to his!. A rack contained newspapers and there was a display container of the current issue of London Drinker.
Externally I was initially concerned whether the pub remained as no signage was displayed, however it soon became apparent that the exterior is being painted.
An agreeable spot despite its modern day location on the four laned A408, and a welcome thirst quencher after a four mile walk on an unseasonably warm March day.
