We were made to feel extremely welcome here and I had a good chat with a couple of regulars at the bar. I had a pint of Ringwood Razor Back which was decent. The barman and regulars were very helpful and arranged a taxi for us to our next pub. I would call again and hope to some day!

just suppin.. ..my pint left this review about The Crown
Great atmosphere, bands on a Friday night, a range of guest ales, spirits, snacks and food....that was just over two years ago when I started drinking there, things have changed! Then it was managed by a young guy (who recently left). Since then there has been lots of niggling problems! On occasions there's been an insufficient float resulting in staff asking customers if they have any spare change! Guest ales seldom all on or not ready for the busiest nights of the week; Fri/Sat. A shortage of mixers resulting in supermaket cartons of orange etc appearing in the fridges and tins of coke being dished out!! Finally snacks, on rare occasions you might find a full range of nuts and crisps, don't be surprised if they have no nuts and just one flavour of crisps! All this points to poor management, by whom...the owners or manager? What was once a packed pub on it's busiest nights has possibly lost a quarter of its regulars since! Lets hope things improve and that the (seldom used) new restaurant extension is not the death knell of what was a great pub?
