When looking for somewhere to have a pie and a pint within a 10 minute drive of Heathrow terminals 2 & 3 the area of Harlington came up and I was initially surprised that this small area can still sustain four pubs. Well, on a visit and closer inspection the answer is that it can’t, with the Red Lion currently shut down and this one suffering a period of closure since the last review but now thankfully reopened and trying to reinvent itself.
Apparently it reopened in May 2017 following a refurbishment and according to its website is now branded as a Beer parlour & Kitchen offering a wider range of cask ales, keg and over 100 bottled craft beers.
The Kitchen side comes in the form of a steak on hot rocks menu that you cook yourself at your table, which is not something that interests me but seems to be well received by those reporting on trip advisor.
On the beer front I guess the key word is wider because keg offerings from Meantime, Camden and Samuel Adams and a couple of cask beers in the form of Rebellion IPA and Doombore is hardly cutting edge nowadays.
But, along with the bottled options, it does provide something decent to drink and actually this is a really nice little pub in which to drink them.
The refurbishment has left a very comfortable traditional pub interior. There are two areas either side of the central square serving area that were clearly separate bars back in the day. As you enter the smaller section of the bar facing you has the three hand pumps and then the two sides have a Keg pump set up with five taps on each and a small chalk board in each section details what on the other five taps on the other bar surface. A mainly red and yellow walled colour scheme with dark wooden flooring throughout, the right hand bar has some nice yellow leather seating and open fireplace whereas the left side was more wooden tables for dining. But both sides has plenty of brewing and sporting memorabilia on the walls including framed beer mats , metal beer signs and signed sporting pictures and caricatures. And then both sides has a flat screen tele on the back wall for the advertised Sky sport but only the one on the more lounge like right hand side was in action for my visit.
Although Beer Parlour is slightly stretching it by my definition all in all I enjoyed my visit here and what they have done with the place and wish it well for the future.

Smart interior with comfortable seating. Sells real ale. Not much else to say.
