The Bristol Flyer is a large looking pub that is just up from the Cider Press.
Once inside there is a large oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub, this room is divided into different areas, the floor is bare boarded and the seating is normal tables and bench seating, plus some tall tables and chairs, the bar is on the left side, there is slight raised area to the right.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of St Austell Tribute which went down well, the other beer was Doom Bar.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.

A good sized pub divided in to several different areas, although they all lead in to one another. It’s on a few different levels and has a good selection of seating with a few leather sofa’s, round bar tables and cosy alcoves. There’s old wooden flooring throughout and the walls are a mixture of exposed brickwork and painted plaster. One wall is plastered in flyers advertising local bands. The lighting was fairly low, and this created a pleasant ambience.
There was an extensive “pub grub” menu with most of the dishes around the £8/£9 mark. We didn’t try the food ourselves, but the kitchen seemed to be keeping busy. Unusually for a pub, this was an open plan affair, visible behind the bar. There was also a good choice of wines chalked up on a board above the bar. Service seemed to be quick and efficient.
Beers on tap were Sharp’s Cornish Coaster and Doom Bar, plus Thornbridge Jaipur. Ciders were Aspall’s Suffolk, Addlestones and Gaymer’s Pear. There was also a good choice of continental lagers on tap.
