I must agree with Mr Ashworth in that this pub is surprisingly well kept. The pub is on 3 levels with 2 raised areas to the bar. Open plan with the 3 areas being comfortable. No real ale.

On entry i was pleasantly surprised, how clean and well kept the place was for a mid terraced pub.The bar is on the left and is approached by ascending 3 steps that have decrotive wooden bannisters either side, but no real ale on offer although the Tetley Dark Mild was ok.The seating is on a split level with a pool table on the far right. The barman was cleaning and polishing when i arrived and was still doing an admirable job when i made my exit,in fact the only time his task was only interupted twice and that was when customers required service.
