Typical 2-room Greater Manchester pub owned by Holt's. Both rooms are fairly large and are served by the central bar. Bitter & Two Hoots were the real ale options. I tried the latter.
Staff were bright and cheerful and customers also seemed friendly. Rugby League was being shown on the TVs. The building is certainly quite impressive and there is a bowling green at the rear. Not bad as Holt's pubs go.

Joseph Holt pub close to the golf club, with a large well kept bowling green, in a pleasant setting at the rear.Tried a couple of pints of the mild which was quite passable
