The Pipe and Slippers was not on my original pub crawl but the rain that was heavy made me change my route.
This is another pub that is on the busy Cheltenham Road.
Once inside there is a single oblong shaped room which is bare boarded,the bar is on the right side,there are normal tables and chairs in the middle of the room and wood backed bench seating and chairs around the edge,the rear area is up two steps where there is more wood bench seating.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Bath Ales Jem which went down well while in the dry,the other beer was Purity Mad Goose.
Background music was playing.
I thought this was a decent enough pub to pop into while there was a downpour.

A popular pub in the vibrant and hip Stokes Croft, it is a single room pub with a small area up a couple of steps at the rear and some decking at the front of the pub with plenty of heaters to keep the cold weather at bay.
Inside it’s actually quite elegant in a way with high ceilings and dark green paintwork on the walls along with some patterned wallpaper on the chimney breast. There are dark wooden boards on the floor and some large mirrors on the walls, whilst seating was a mixture of benches around the perimeter and several Chesterfield arm chairs. A small DJ booth was at the rear of the pub and some forthcoming entertainment was listed on a blackboard. Another blackboard listed the food options, although all that we saw were a number of Sunday roasts at around the £10/£11 mark. I believe a selection of tapas dish and pies feature at other times.
Beers on tap were Mad Goose Purity and Gem, whilst ciders were well represented with Mortimer’s Orchard, Ty Gwyn and Orchard Pig Maverick. Many punters though seemed to be enjoying cocktails served up in pint glasses which struck me as rather unusual.
