The Star Inn is a stand alone pub.
Once inside this is quite a nice pub with different rooms,i had a drink in the bar room which is to the left, this room is L shaped, there is a pool table to the front left and a darts board to the front right, the TV was showing horse racing, the seating is normal tables and chairs and the room is carpeted, there is a separate lounge to the left.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Doom Bar which was a decent drink, the other beer was Courage Best.
This is a very pleasant and comfortable pub to have a drink in.

Rex Rattus left this review about The Star Inn

This pub is on the CAMRA London Inventory of pubs with historic interiors. There are three separate rooms, but all can be reached by door and archway without recourse to the street to move between bars. I sat in the Saloon Lounge on the right. This has some nice three-quarter height wood panelling on the walls, surmounted by a narrow ledge bearing numerous items of Delft pottery. There are also a few black and white prints on the wall, and a skylight at the back provides some welcome natural light. This room, which is the largest of the three, is carpeted and is furnished with banquattes and normal tables and chairs. There was a TV on showing a lunchtime football match.

A door on the right takes you into the Public Bar, which of course is a little plainer than the Saloon Lounge, and naturally this is where the dartboard is sited. A small archway through some original inter-war panelling takes you into another room – one time the private bar perhaps? The main feature here is the rather nice bar back, and the fire on the go.

The Saloon Lounge had Harvey’s Best (£3.20 a pint) on, and another pump unclipped, while the “private” bar had Courage Best on. There was a basic menu available on Saturday lunchtime, with sandwiches at around £1.70 - £1.80, and main meals around £3. These are good prices by any standards, and my ham sarny was OK. This is a locals’ pub, and I’m glad to say that it was doing a reasonable trade on Saturday lunchtime. It’s certainly worth dropping in for a swift one if you’re in the area to see the sort of pub interior that would have been commonplace 50 years ago.
