Large pub with outside seating round the back and a few benches out the front on the side of the pub. Plenty of wood panelling with some red curtains to potentially screen of individual parts of the large inside seating area also. Can imagine a popular venue for food in this area also.

There was a single cask offering on my visit, a mild called Flying the Mags from the London Brewing Co. Three pumps in-used currently at least. Plenty of keg offerings Small Beer Hazy, Erdinger WB, Hammerton Ram, Hay-Z and Whole Latte Love from Bianca Road, Hepcat, Two Tribes Dream as well as a number more commonly seen options.

Has the feel of a decent London suburbs pub and I enjoyed visiting this place and would look in on the place again if in the area but not quite a destination in its own right from outside the area.

Don’t be fooled by the beautifully gold-painted external sign saying “traditional ales” – there were no handpumps on display on the bar counter, and the barman informed me that they had no bitter at all. This is a big, stand alone pub but the interior looked to be that of a standard pubco chain food driven pub. I don’t expect to pay a return visit.
