The Cannick Tapps is a small cellar bar with serving counter that faces raised seating, which was a bit of a squeeze for my manly frame! Premium keg products were available along Sharp’s Doom Bar and Watney’s Starlight. Dark Star’s Hophead and Wells Bombardier were coming soon. Pub grub is available, the burger was priced at £11 which is pretty good for the area. I recall there being some background music playing and the flat screen television was connected to a games console, no live sports signs as far as I could see. I think this place is worthy of a quick stop off if passing, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.

A cellar bar opposite Cannon Street station with a rather contrived feel from a refurbishment with much recycled wood, tiled walls, industrial seats and arty light fittings, probably taken direct from the craft bar catalogue, or would have been if there was such a thing. Friendly enough though, and at least maintains some handpumps along with the craft stuff. Not the most interesting range at time of visit, being Sea Fury, Shep's Whitstable Bay and Doom Bar, but in fair condition.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cannick Tapps
Not that different to its previous incarnation as the London Stone, although the Gothic accoutrements have been mostly removed and some of the other decor has been lightened-up a bit. The two-part counter is now dominated by two hooped brass founts, offering a pretty pedestrian selection of keg beers, but Portobello cask ales were being dispensed from two of four handpumps - Spring Ale and Stiff Lip (£3.50) - and there are six more crafty beers plus a couple of ciders available from further taps on the wall behind.
