Until 1983 this pub was called The White Swan and we paid a visit here about a week ago - I'd had an unmemorable visit about 7 years ago.

The pub is bare boarded with a slightly raised side bar - it's painfully thin on décor. Furniture comprises pus or chocolate brown coloured leatherette banquettes, pouffes and sofas with black tables atop a single chrome pedestal leg; it all looks a bit like a 1980s' branch of World of Leather that's gone bankrupt. Clients, of which there were few, seemed to look like hipsters who'd gone to a not-very-hipsterish part of town. Music played at a muted level, but the aforementioned TVs no longer seem to be in evidence.
Despite being a Fuller's house (of which usually I'm a fan) their beer was conspicuous by its absence: alongside a reversed clip, there was just London Pride at £4.00 a pint.

This is a painfully dreary pub - I rather got the impression that Fuller's no longer care about the place. The Green next door is marginally better, the Betsy Trotwood over the road is a couple of notches up and the Crown Tavern and Three Kings around the corner are far better. Suffice to say, I won't be returning.

Nice looking Fullers pub from the outside with lots of colourful hanging baskets. Then a modern décor sports orientated bar inside with plenty of high stools and tables.
Is probably a decent place when full of punters on a sports night with the multiple flat screens in operation. But on an early weekday lunchtime with virtually no one else in, it’s a bit of a sole less place.
Not helped by the fact that of the four hand pumps , only the ESB and Discovery were actually on from the evening before. Fortunately the Discovery was a good pint, but I probably didn’t experience this place at its best.

I'm a big fan of Fullers pubs as I like their beers, but this place isn't one of their best and I have to point out that the barmaid on duty was truly miserable when I visited before Christmas.

I spotted four plasma screens showing the news which were muted and there was no music playing as the pub felt like it was closing even though it was only 10pm.

Four Fullers ales were available and there was nothing wrong with my pint, but I can't see a return visit.
