Komakino . left this review about The Red Lion
Located opposite playing fields in this drive-through village, this has an L-shaped area entered into from the front, with what appears to be a modern, converted dining area off to the left and a further dining area straight ahead, so you can already discern what the main focus is here already. The bar area itself is all rather Sunday Times Magazine 'Interiors' section, with a tetrad of leather armchairs to the left on entry (occupied by people eating), two facing sofas separated by a small coffee table and a table and chairs in a recessed window area to the left, which was commandeered by a group of diners on our Wednesday night visit so a non-foodstuff sojourn seemed a little against the grain. Very gastro as you can gather, with the obligatory "anything else" after being served. Just the sole ale - Rebellion IPA over two handpumps (one was reversed) which was as OK as that beer can be. One can imagine playing a game of cricket on a nice summer's day and retiring here for a post-match pint only to be asked to move out of the way for diners.
