We visited this one primarily for Sunday dinner and chose it due to it being within a five minute drive of junction 5 on the M40 and having a vegan menu and decent vegetarian options , which were of relevance to the friends we were meeting here.
A one room pub as described below it does have the advantage of a sizeable garden and equally sizeable car park out back and additional outside bench seating to the front of the pub, and the one L shaped room does have a decent open fire which I would imagine makes it a bit cosier in winter.
Two Rebellion beers on the bar with the Rebellion IPA looking like it is permanent and the Zebedee was on for our visit and this was a well kept pint.
There was no sign of locals ensconced on the bar stools for our visit but plenty of people eating inside and utilising the garden out the back.
If you are not local to the High Wycombe / Stokenchurch area then there’s not a lot here to make you go out of your way for. But if you find yourself in the area and want something to eat alongside a decently kept pint, then I can recommend it for that, especially as the meals we experienced were very good.

Recently refurbished, this rectangular room has had its bar rotated 90 degrees so is now up against the far right-hand wall (you enter the building from the left) meaning quite a yomp across the now bare-boarded floor between tables and chairs all set out for dining. The decor is a greenish-teal and white and its all very light, bright and airy. Rebellion Reformer and IPA x2 gives you an idea who the preferred beer supplier is here and a pint of the former was decent as you would expect it to be at the price of £3.90. A wry smile was wrought with a slightly out-of-keeping soundtrack of Public Enemy's 'Fight The Power', which segued into NWA's 'Straight Outta Compton' and which was quickly skipped prior to Ice Cube's first verse. Fair play to them for making a change, but it lacks a soul and you could imagine struggling to get served / noticed at busy times due to preponderance of bar stools surrounding the bar if the locals are out in force.
