A triangular pub on Seven Dials, not unpleasant as Central London pubs go but relatively boring. The interior flows round an island bar, with a few tables outside also. The ale range did not extend beyond the tedious GK threesome of IPA, Abbot and London's Glory.

Shut for refurb, by the looks. Will have to try again - 25.10.2016.
Revisited this Tuesday. Wasn't really worth it - Greene King pub with four hand pumps, two of which were reversed, none of which had any ale of strength. Punk IPA and Hop House 13 amongst other kegs. Nearly circular room with toilets to rear. They don't do food. I will not be back.

Malden man left this review about The Crown

A relatively small oddly shaped pub with an island bar, two areas connected via a redone partition, now effectively open with that 70s style curly metalwork. The front area is boarded, the rear carpeted, slat boarded walls to the front, patterned wallpaper to the rear. The front has the handpumps, Bombardier, Marston's EPA and (thankfully) Portabello American IPA, ok but steep at £4.45. I got a full pint but the bloke before me didn't and asked for a top up quite rightly which visibly and audibly clearly irritated the irritable American barmaid. There was a decent McEnroe impression! Learn to smile and have some grace.
The TV is directly over the front door, football was on leading to a feeling of the whole pub staring at you as you walk in. Seating is limited, stools at window shelves in the front, just a trio of small tables behind. The back room has a fireplace with stacked logs.
There were various small flags outside and England, Brasil and Spain flags inside, presumably as a World Cup enticer. No sign of food or menus, not sure, others have indicated that they do it.
I'm not sure about the place really, it is impersonal but what central London pub isn't, the beer was ok, perhaps the price and the grumpy Yank put me off, I don't know?
