Pub as far out as you get round here. One room, I think, with the bar to the right side. Full of people and it took a while to get served - trouble with a lager barrel, I gather. Had Speckled Hen which was OK.

The Marquis of Granby is a decent looking stone built pub that is just off the town centre.
We went in the left side and i am not sure if there is another room to the right, this room L shaped and had been done up making it a nice clean and comfortable room to have a drink in,most of the seating was bench type with small stools and the room was carpeted throughout, there was also a pool table to the right.
There were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Adnams Broadside and this was a nice well kept pint the other beer was GK Abbot.
I thought this was a very pleasant comfortable pub and i was quite happy having a drink in here.

This was our second visit to The Maquis of Granby, I remember it from years ago, but it has been updated very tastefully and to a high standard. Both rooms we stayed in were very clean and comfortable with freeview tv. Breakfasts are massive and the hosts are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Well worth a visit!
