This is a detached corner pub and music venue with rear patio area. It is an a mock-17th century style, being of two storeys, predominantly of brick with stone string-course, window sills and lintels. It has several front facing gables.

The interior is in effect a single open plan room around a central island bar, now it has been knocked into one. The music was general and quiet, while the Reggae band were setting up in the corner of the more bar area. The decor is one of exposed brick and a fakey thick layer of yellow plaster in parts, which gives a broken look, with a mix of a stone flag and red tile floor and a yellow 'stained' ceiling look with cream cornice. General tables populate with red perimeter seating and stools. The walls have music pictures on them for interest. There is a dart board. There is a TV, but this wasn't on at my visit. The service was fine and there were a mixed group of locals and music people in.

Beer; usual tap stuff with Spekky Hen, Ruddles COunty, Hobgoblin, Castle Rock Harvest Pale Ale and Caledonain Flying Scotsman, which was decent.

A really good real ale pub. We heard the music later, when passing again and it sounded lively - would like to see a band here. In GBG and deserves it - try it!

Defo worth a visit, situated up a side street from the main road in a residential area. Consists of a small central bar with the rest of the pub flowing round it. 4 ales on, I went for the Brewsters Hophead, will call again.

This is a long standing outlet for good beer in Lincoln. Just off the main street so it doesn’t get the circuit drinkers that many of the nearby places do. The bar is almost circular when you enter and serves two adjoining rooms that obviously once used to be separated by a door. The room to the left as you enter has more of a tap room feel with shabby and patched leather seating and a dart board. This is also where the regular live music is played. The room to the right is a bit more upmarket with the leather seating being in a much better condition. There’s lots of interesting pictures around the walls several of Blues musicians. The background music is always interesting with both the Fleet Foxes and the Foo Fighters (the only connection I can see is Seattle) being played whilst we were in. Eight handpumps selling Sharps Doom Bar plus seven guests. I had a Rudgate Jorvik Blonde and a Marston Moor Mongrel, both were excellent. It’s a good pub.
