Alan Winfield left this review about The Railway Inn
The Railway is a sturdy looking stone built pub that is situated next to Ancaster train station.
Once inside the pub had one room that had different drinking areas, there was a pool table near the entrance and the pub looked fairly smart with normal tables and chairs.
This pub used to be a Mansfield tied house but i am not sure if it has been took over by Marstons as there were none of their beers on the bar.
There were two real ales on here i had a drink of Batemans England Expects and this was a decent drink the other beer was Black Sheep bitter.
This is a proper drinkers pub and it was fairly busy late saturday afternoon,we were quite happy having a drink in here.
