Local pub in the village of Snitterby. Children are no longer allowed into the pub. So, we sat next to the stream, which runs along the front of the pub.

The garden at the rear of the car park has been sealed off and tables have been put at the front. But be careful of the broken glass scattered around.

The landlord seemed like a pleasant chap. Although, he will read you a full set of instructions to follow, on your first visit, which seemed a little excessive considering we were being forced to drink outside.

None of the ales on offer are locally brewed. JW Lee's Bitter & Rooster's Buckeye are the 2 regular ales. They also had a guest, which was Exmoor Ale. The real cider was Thistly Cross Whisky Cask.

Not a bad pub. But a shame it wasn't more inclusive.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. I was only going to take a photo and move on, but my cycling companion wanted to see about a sandwich, so I said I'd have a beer. For an ordinary looking country pub, in a nice situation but nothing about it that says "destination pub", this is a destination pub. There were five real ales on six or seven hand pumps, with Roosters Buckeye doubled up and clearly a regular, others as depicted in photos. Definitely worth a visit, if you can get here. It's right in the middle of nowhere and we took nearly an hour to cycle from the Eight Jolly Brewers.
