Set a fair way back from the road, this is a fairly dowdy place, done-out in greys and white. Four pumps, sporting the “all ones you've heard of” school of choice, quite at variance with the local CAMRA write-up from earlier in the year on WhatPub; GK IPA, Sharps Doom Bar, GK Abbott and a so-so Bass. We did at least help the barmaid order beers for their upcoming festival. 5.5

The Wheatsheaf has very recently reopened after a few years of closure.
Once inside we went in a room to the left,the bar faced,the floor was part tiled and carpeted,there was a nice window seat and some leather settees,a real fire was also on the go which gave the room a warm and cosy feel.
There was a seperate dining room to the right.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Grainstore Rutland bitter,which was a very nice drink,the other beers were Bass and Doom Bar.
We had a quick chat with the landlord who seemed friendly enough.
It is nice to see a pub reopen and we enjoyed our time in this pub.
