A day on the beer was starting to be felt when we got to this one. My notes say that there was ‘a fountain on the outside but a bit dull inside’. However the main remembrance were the brilliant locals, who loved our challenge and stood a round for us. Two on ales on, Black Sheep Bitter (very good nick) and Doom Bar. “A pub man's pub” quoth my notes and I’m happy to go along with that

The Black Bull Looks as though it is partly thatched,there are a few tabels at the front if you fancy a drink outside.The pub was quite busy on our visit there were 5 handpumps on the bar i had Tom Woods Best Bitter which was not a bad drink the other beers were Black Sheep,Youngs Special,Bombadier and Theakston Black Bull Bitter.I found this pub to be slightly upmarket and not quite to my taste.
