The Red Lion is a largish white painted pub that faces a road junction.
Once inside there was a small bar area facing and this bar had two stools in it there was also handpulls on this small bar, there was a larger room to the right which was set aside for diners, this room was very busy with people finishing their meals, there was another room to the left which was accesssed through an archway, this was a fairly large room that was carpeted and had normal tables and chairs this room was for drinkers and it was almost empty.
The pub is a Marstons tied house and there were five real ales on the bar i had a drink of Marstons EPA and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Pedigree, Banks's Original, Hobgoblin Ho Ho Ho and a guest beer which was Adnams Broadside.
This was a decent enough pub to have a few drinks in.

The Red Lion in Gilmorton is a great place to eat - all the food is freshly cooked to order using local produce where possible. Eggs come from the pubs own chickens! The menu changes all the time. Try the home made bread or ice cream! There are always around 4 cask ales available and the pub has Cask Marque accreditation. With a lovely, enclosed garden at the rear it's ideal for a quiet drink in the sun while the children play on the grass. Try it and see for yourself!
