The Pack Horse was our 5th Buckinghamshire pub of the day and our 2nd Fuller's establishment. Once again, the regular beer London Pride, was supplemented by Seafarers as a "guest".
This basic village pub has a single room and was noticeable for not doing food. In fact, it was the only wet-led pub of the day.
The barmaid/landlady was friendly and our son was welcomed in. All good, apart from the lack of ale choice.

Full of loud and unfriendly locals, barman couldn't give a toss- only interested in his mates on the other side of the bar
Wouldn't go back there if you paid me. AVOID.

Wendover's only GBG pub is currently owned by Fullers. It has a single bar, one end of which has been made to look cottagey with hard snug seats and floral decoration. It's dog-friendly which adds to the homeliness. There are tiled floors and an ancient fireplace which has been defaced with modern tiles. There is a dartboard and Sky tv to provide amusement. The locals were a bit loud, there were one or two yoghurt-knitters visiting, and the barman was friendly enough. The mix of styles works, sort of. There were three ales on, all from Fullers. I had a couple of pints of Beachcomber which was a bit washed up but still drinkable, not what I would expect from a GBG pub. I would include in a crawl but not necessarily want to spend all evening here.
