Two room local for the younger and sports-oriented. COVID meant I ended-up in the rear room without seeing the front bar. Rear room is a mish-mash of a Linda Barker refurb with an unappealing array of greys, off-whites and ‘distressed’ blues as well as various things spelt out in spangly jumbo letters of the type you'd get in TK Maxx – I’d wager the licensee is a middle aged female. Football on the telly with a few other punters gathered round an Ipad watching an obscure horse race. Slightly chaotic service, my appearance at the bar asking for a seat was met with a look of bewilderment (well how else am I meant to find a table that is COVID-ready?) but they got their act together fairly swiftly. Four pumps at the bar but disappointingly just a fusty Everards Tiger available (NBSS 2). Didn’t appeal to me - if an Everards pub in an LE postcode can't shift a good pint of Tiger...

The Railway Inn is quite a nice looking pub and once inside the pub the bar was facing and the pub was quite smart with carpets and it had a cottagy feel to it,there was another room at the back of the pub but i did'nt have a look at this.
This pub is an Everards tied house and there were three real ales on the bar i had a drink of Everards Beacon bitter bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Everards tiger bitter and Orignal.
I thought this was quite a nice pub and i was quite happy having a drink in here
