Of the two pubs in Fleckney,I found this Everards tied house to be the more earthier, and it is situated in the busier part of the village. There is a long bar on entering ,with a pool table to the left popular with some youngsters while a restaurant section runs back around the corner. To the other side of the bar ,there are two sections with banquettes and a darts board while there is an interesting walk through snug towards the front. The different levels of the wooden flooring breaks up the interior and the flatscreen was showing Sky Sports News. There is a horse racing theme to the decor and this is very much a locals pub.The six handpumps were largely bereft of ale with two Tiger clips and another brew reversed, leaving a solitary Beacon which was in good nick.I expect I was unlucky on the ale choice, although lager did seem the drink of choice among the regulars.A decent pub for a quick one.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Old Crown Inn

The Old Crown is in the middle of Fleckney, this is a nice looking white painted pub that is set sideways onto the road.
Once inside the pub has been opened out into one very large L shaped room the area near the bar has bare boards and there is a raised seating area near the main entrance, the left side is carpeted and there is a pool table here there are normal tables and chairs to the rear of the pub.
This pub is an Everards tied house and there were four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Everards Sleigh Bell and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Everards Tiger and Beacon bitter, there was also a guest beer which was White Horse Wayward.
The pub had a decent atmosphere and there was a mixed bunch of drinkers in here.
We were quite happy having a drink in here.
