Brainy Pool left this review about Dog & Partridge
long standing and well known pub on Wallgate, it has rather fallen from grace in recent times. Inside is a bit of a bland, tacky affair with no features of note. A couple of scrotes in trackys were stood outside arguing which hardly gives the most welcoming appearance, punters inside weren’t much better and the barmaid a proper rude battleaxe. She probably has to be to keep this place under control. No real ale these days and as ROB said, it feels like it’s going to kick off any minute. It’s grim.

The Dog and Partridge is a long pub with a bar counter along the right wall that supports standard keg only. During my brief visit there was some background music playing and I noted that there’s a pool table at the rear. The clientele were all pissed up chavs and the manageress was extremely rude. What a dump!

A massive pub with loads of fruit machines and TVs everywhere. Full of total scrotes on my Friday, late afternoon visit. 2 unused handpumps on the bar. I had a very quick half of some fizzy crap and left them to it. It felt like it could kick off at any time. I'm glad it's here as it keeps lots of lowlifes out of the other pubs around town.
