Nice looking original part of the building that has been much extended not with the same effect. Modernised inside and is much as mentioned previously by Quinno, there are now four handpumps on the bar but just the three in use, Brakespear Gravity (formerley known as Bitter), Brakespear Oxford Gold and Courage Directors. I'm not a fan of Brakespears but went for the Gravity, it was actually in top condition. Food is a major part of the operation here and as such this is no boozer,it was OK for the pint but I'm not likely to be making a return anytime soon.

Looks like it was quite a nice place years back but has been not well modernized at all. Three areas set in a long line across the front of the building. To left up a step is football room, right hand side is a fairly characterless seating area. No sign of the bar billiards table mentioned elsewhere. The two grassed areas need a little attention to bring them up to muster. Three pumps but only a lacklustre Brakspear Bitter available. Should be doing so much better, a real waste.
