As noted below it is a 3 roomed Sam Smiths pub. 2 handpumps dispensed Old Brewery Bitter. A friendly pub. Pictures of old Heywood are dotted around the rooms.

Traditional 3 roomed Sam Smiths pub, little changed in the 10 or so years since I last visited. Basic, comfortable seating in all 3 rooms plus an outside patio at the rear with bench seating. Some nice stained glass over the bar. Friendly bar staff and punters who filled the place just after 5 on a Friday evening. Sam Smiths OBB is the only cask ale of course, but it was a decent pint and at £1.52 a bit of a steal. A proper locals local and one of the better pubs in Heywood.
