Another superb pub, standing proud at the top of the village. This Thwaites pub was only refurbished 5 months ago. The interior is modern and sleek, but still retains a traditional feel, that fits in with the village. There is a lot of reclaimed timber used here which looks well, especially the main bar. Prices were steep, which is expected around the Ribble Valley. The barman was friendly and helpful. Four handpumps, two from Thwaites and two from Brains. I was unadventurous and settled on a Wainwright.

Set in the picturesque village of Waddington the Higher Buck is a Thwaites pub that has recently undergone a smart and modern revamp.Although there is now more emphasis on the food aspect there was 4 cask beers on handpull and a outdoor seating area at the front of the pub.
Called in for Sunday lunch and the food was fine but thought a tad on the pricey side.
