A good looking traditional corner pub. Inside however is a bit of a disappointment. A rather tatty L-shaped interior even has its own rather depressed looking parrot in its cage next to the bar. While the pub isn't bad there are better places in the town but as you're out this way then its just about worth popping in. 3 handpulls on the bar but only the one on dispensing Robbies Dizzy Blonde. Pool table to the rear plus beer garden.

Got to say this pub needs to remember it has customers. Maybe the regulars are well known but when landlord and landlady and bar staff ignore you then perhaps I will take my custom somewhere else. Come on if you are reading this you are in a service industry and without service everything else you do is wasted. I hope the next visit is much better. If not wont be going again.

Tried this pub last night 6th April 2011. First visit since the reopen. A thumbs up from Mrs Phantom and me. Nice atmosphere, clean pub, good staff lovely beer 3 real ales on. I sampled the Rev James and was well impressed. We only went out for one but stayed over 4 hours. Football was showing which was on a bit loud but we could have moved if it really was a problem. Things are looking up in Chorley.
