Been in twice, beer nice but expensive, £3.25 for a session beer that's brewed on the premises. 50 yards away is a Wetherspoons at £1 cheaper for better beer. This pub is aimed at a certain clientele. Plenty of folk in & all tables occupied with people eating. Nowhere for us to sit, just had to stand holding our pints. Lighting in the place very dim, couldn't read the pump clips. nothing wrong with the place, just not my kind of pub.

A strange place this. Very good real ale selection but the layout isn't the best. The food and drinks menu is in the form of a newspaper. A bit arty farty but as I said a good ale selection so it gets decent marks for that.

A very nice building which has been modernised to within an inch of its life. Six hand pumps with two from the on-premises brewery, others from Spitting Feathers and Pennine at the time of my visit. Service was impersonal and the beer expensive (£3.50 a pint compared to a range from £2.50 to £3.10 in others I tried). Disappointing for me that all the beers were pale and grapefruity, except for one which was brown and grapefruity.
