Called in today for a meal, and had a lovely curry. Chose this pub for the array of real ales it had on last year when we visited the area, and were not disappointed this year either. 12 handpumps, 10 real ales, 1 empty and 1 with cider. Good choice of both light and dark beers, and weak and strong beers. We enjoyed Cottage The Underdogs, Brains SA Gold, and a new beer for us, Downton Honey Porter. All the beers were in great condition served by pleasant staff. It was a lovely clean pub with a bar serving large areas around it. There was a screen showing sport in one area, but it was not obtrusive. Enjoyed my visit.
