have just been for a meal with my mother and definitly will not be going back! we ordered a latte and j2o when the waitress arrived with our drinks she brought the j2o but a black coffee when my mother told the waitress she took it away and returned with the same cup butnow it was only half full when asked to refill it she did with hot water! our meal arrived at the table after a wait of half an hour and what was offered was not what we had ordered they had brought what was described in the menu as a pensioners special at £1-75 wereas we had ordered the beer batter haddock,homemade chips and mushy peas which was £5-50 and already paid for.the meal was so overcooked you couldn't get your fork into the chips and when you managed to bite into them they were hollow,the peas were overcooked and not mushy, the fish was reformed into the shape of a triangle! when l got the waitress back to our table and told her it was not what we'd ordered she did take it away we had to wait another half hour for them to redo our order, and when that came that too was over cooked l challenged her about the chips she did say they had no homemade ones the fish this time was haddock but the portion was 4 and a half inches long by 1 and a half inches wide including the batter! needless to say we will not be returning and advise anybody who wants fish and chips to go to the local chippy for an excellent fish lunch and a lot cheaper!
